Colors of Night
Beneath the moon-blushed sky,
night awaits the cooling breeze
while creatures stir
in search of food
Under the safety of darkness
A cool mist coats my skin
letting me know
that my time
to enjoy the colors of nature
is over for today.
I close my eyes
and when they open again
I am not sure if
the colors of the sky
signal morning or night.
How does the sunset
and the sunrise
look so familiar
right at the brink
of materializing?
