Hay(na)ku is a very simple poetic form, and it’s also one of the newest. It was apparently created in 2003 by poet Eileen Tabios.
Hay(na)ku is a 3-line poem with one word in the first line, two words in the second, and three in the third. There are no restrictions beyond this.

Hmmm…. Interesting. I’ve never been good at math, but here it goes:
One
Then two
And then three
Alright, that’s my Hay(na)ku poem. At least, thankfully, it was very short, eh?
Say, CHRISTINE, we missed you during the November 1st Battle Of The Bands round. Will you be joining us the day after tomorrow? December has often included Holiday songs in BOTB, but that’s not any sort of requirement. As always, every BOTBer is their own boss when it comes to musical selections.

Yes, I will be joining in. Last month was hectic and a vacation that was long needed. No internet of wifi so I opted out for the month. I may try to stick with Holiday songs, that could be fun

This is one of the “micro” poetry forms – both easy and at the same time difficult to convey emotion… Well done!

Thank you! You know a lot more about poetry than I do!
