Well, I am very behind in this so I’m going to start here and if able, will work my way backwards. Maybe some of my 100 Forms of Poetry poems will work for some of the days I have missed. We shall see!

2023 November PAD Chapbook Challenge: Day 12

For today’s prompt, take the phrase “(blank) for (blank),” replace the blanks with a new word or phrase, make the new phrase the title of your poem, and then, write your poem. 

House for Sale

We fixed it and loved it
then when we were done
We looked for a new house
but couldn’t find one!
The houses around us
were way overpriced
The one that I want
is the home of our Christ
Yes, it is true
I want an old church
to turn into my home
but it is a tough search
There aren’t that many
or none that I’ve found
None in my city
nowhere around
So I will just stay here
in my little home
and cherish my yard
as I ramble and roam.
