A murder mystery without all the blood and gore!

Jacobia has bought herself fixer upper and when she finds a dead man in one of the rooms she calls in the local police. The corpse was found with an ice pick in his head but when the police arrive someone has taken the ice pick and that someone is probably the murderer! When Jacobia’s best friend Ellie confesses to the murder, Jacobia knows it can’t be true and all Ellie will tell her is to “find out what really happened.” Who is Ellie covering up for and why?

I gave this story two out of five stars for the overall plot. The story was a bit too slow for me and I found myself wanting to skip through the tons of details the author has included. Well written, but not for me.
