This morning there was a snail out by the pool making its way toward the water.
I don’t know if it is good for my garden and pool so I let it be. I figured if he made it to the pool he’d either drown or be happy with his new temporary home.
Brody apparently has never seen one and was very curious!

He is so funny because then he walked by the skimmer and it made a sucking sound and he jumped two feet straight in the air!

Really fun to watch your dog’s encounter with the snail. haha I jumped when I heard the growl and bark. 🙂

He does that whole thing when he sees something he doesn’t recognize or hasn’t been there before. For example, now with Halloween Decorations in peoples yards…He knows they aren’t normally there so until he checks them out he is leary and will bark at them! I always say he was trained to Say Something if you See Something!

This is so reminiscent of Maya and her first encounter with a spider. She watched it climb the skirting board, then knocked it down with her paw. She watched it again and did the same, then on the third attempt she really swiped at it, watched it on the carpet and then ate it! Lovely clip.

Hahahaha! Yuck, imagine him trying to eat a snail! I guess it is considered a delicacy but it would probably make me want to be sick!

Sadly Maya used to and it is bad for dogs as it can lead to heart or lung worm. We had a word with our vet about it and he said she would grow out of it (hopefully she has) but he made sure the worming treatment we give her covers that as well.

yep. not uncommon apparently when they’re pups so owners have to be careful. I don’t think Maya ever swallowed one as I managed to get them out of her mouth. Urgh!!!

I don’t know for sure but I think I see the snail at the bottom of the pool. I guess I will find out when I vacuum!

I don’t know but whenever I’ve seen pictures of all the things swimming in the beach waters near me I never want to go in again…there is a lot of weird stuff swimming under the water

Some of the stuff we see here has never been alive……. urgh!!! I haven’t been swimming in the sea for years, and the last time I went swimming was in 2010 when I was in NZ.
