Friday Writings #95: Losing Track of Time
For this week’s optional prompt, may I suggest the phrase “losing track of time.”
In the back of my mind
I take a long look
to see all my thoughts
and paths that I took
I find that theres times
where the path had a curve
times I was brave
times I had little nerve
but one of the things
that I really know
is losing track of time
is the way to go
A time to reflect
a time to respond
to emotional needs
to those things I am fond.

This poem has a comforting, rocking, soothing rythm. Lets us know it is OK to slow down and let go of time a bit.

You captured the essence of losing track of time .. it can heal, refresh us, make us more appreciative for the time we have here on Earth.

The way it’s constructed really reinforces the pensive feel to me. I know I need time like this regularly or I burn out.

Oh, that’s so nice! We too often think that losing track of time is a bad thing, when in fact it can be both delightful and healthy.

We treat our time at the start like it will last forever. But as we age, it time becomes more valuable, but then it slips away more easily. You told it nicely, Christine, I liked reading it.
