I have so many memories of holidays spent at my grandma’s house or with my cousins at their house. I can almost smell the food, the whole environment, of my childhood festas. These usually centered around Easter, I do not remember much or how often they occurred. After losing my mother so much changed and I was never able to experience those sounds, smells, or tastes again. So much is lost when we lose loved ones. One of the things I miss most are grandma’s special pancakes and her cabbage soup. These are wonderful memories I hold on to.

Memories are often all we have left… glad yours are sweet ones.

I was hoping to find a Battle of the Bands. My Battle has to do with memories I have from over 50 years ago. I often write about my memories younger days. Hope you’ll stop by to vote on my current Battle at https://tossingitout.blogspot.com/2023/09/basement-juggling-rehearsal-hall-botb.html

No they are all good memories. I just wish I could find out her pancake recipe! They were closer to fritters but I have never been able to find it.
