Weekend Writing Prompt #323 – Outsmart

When you outsmart a fool
You will need many things
Some sort of a tool
And fake diamond rings

Just put out the ring
And wait for the bite
Then for the zing
Next comes the fight

He won’t give it up
Not for nothing, not you
He is just like a pup
Chewing papa’s new shoe

The diamonds are fake
They are nothing but glass
He’ll find it out later
He’ll feel like an ass

He runs to the pawnshop
to show what he’s got
The guy says he must stop
A diamond it’s not.
