The Worst Day

Today is the worst day of my life, well the fourth time around. It was four years ago that I lost my son and not a day goes by that my heart doesn’t hurt. The other day I went through tons of pictures which was at first painful but then became very soothing to remember all the happy years of him growing up.

My chest is tight
my throat constricts
heat wells in my neck
reaching my forehead
tears roll down my cheeks
there is no relief
this will always be
the worst day of my life.
