Have a party for me: Song Lyric Sunday

This week the theme is to find a song that you would like to be played at your funeral suggested by Di of pensitivity101.

Based on what I have been most recently listening to I would pick one of my favorites…It is up-beat and happy. I want people to dance a bit at my funeral, maybe have open-bar for an hour or so after, some good food….

[Verse 1]
Yeah I’m walking in routine
I’m working day and night
I’m blinded by the city lights
No matter how hard I try
The town has it by
And I’m [?] from where I’ve started

[Chorus]
What does it take, to walk on the moon
To live like a king, with a gold-steel ring
What will it mean, to write a catchy song
So the whole wide world can hear that nothing’s wrong
And we are free, not bounded by rules
Or lost in the manners of those crazy fools

[Post-Chorus]
La, la, la
La, da, da, da, da, da, da
La, da, da, da, da, da, da
La, da, da, da, da, da, da

[Verse 2]
I’m good to know that by the day
Walking back was just my way
No I can’t find my place, I’m the joker and you’re the ace
Like I’m living in transition, forever I’ll be wishing
Some things got to give

[Chorus]
What does it take, to walk on the moon
To live like a king, with a gold-steel ring
What will it mean, to write a catchy song
So the whole wide world can hear that nothing’s wrong
And we are free, not bounded by rules
Or lost in the manners of those crazy fools

[Pre-Chorus]
La, la, la
La, da, da, da, da, da, da
La, da, da, da, da, da, da
La, da, da, da, da, da, da
La, da, da, da, da, da, da
La, da, da, da, da, da, da
La, da, da, da, da, da, da
La, da, da, da, da, da, da

[Chorus]
What does it take, to walk on the moon
To live like a king, with a gold-steel ring
What will it mean, to write a catchy song
So the whole wide world can hear that nothing’s wrong
And we are free, not bounded by rules
Or lost in the manners of those crazy fools

[Outro]
What does it take to walk on the moon
To live like a king, with a gold-steel ring
What does it take
