Reviews on Amazon

Apparently, Amazon has changed its standards and they consider three out of five stars for any review a “bad review” and therefore will not publish the review. This makes it very difficult for reviewers, like me, who find a book or item to be three out of five stars and not really any better. I feel like three out of five means that “things are okay, not great, but not bad”.

  1. Well, BAH, and HUMBUG! .. I do wish they’d stop moving the bloody goalposts … all in the pursuit of some obscure ‘data’ that I bet 99% of them don’t even know what to do with.

    • I don’t know but I do book reviews and one of the requirements to read the book is to post a review on Amazon. If I have to give someone four stars just so I can fulfill my end of the deal how is that honest? Maybe it is something they are just trying out or something.

  2. That’s nuts! I’ve always considered 5 stars to be spectacular, 4 to be great, 3 to be good, 2 to be meh, and 1 to be bad. I wonder why they’ve changed it?
