Jim’s take on this diving crew
We have these really neat diving helmets that are supplied with air that is pumped from the surface and we are going to collect a lot of sponges today. People are using more Natural Sea sponges ever since it was reported that the synthetic sponges can take up to 200 years to breakdown, so this is certainly more friendly to the environment and it is ethical because sponges don’t have a nervous system, so they possess no consciousness. Sure, we could run into a giant octopus or even a shark, but we do not fear the depth, the dark, or the unknown. There is always a chance that we could catch a lobster or two while we are down there and that would be icing on the cake.
