Is there anything you feel too old to do anymore?
My first thought it rollerblading. I guess I’m not necessaarily too old but I am too wobbly and and as you get older falls hurt more.
The second thing I thought of was my pig tails. I used to love wearing two low in the back, more like mini “messy” buns. It used to look cute, now I think it will only look like a ridiculous older lady with a silly haircut.
Sucking on lollipops in public I guess.

I’m in my late 30s. I can’t think of anything that I feel too old to do. But mentally I’ve lessened reacting to people. Even if it’s something interesting or bullshit, I just don’t react..Except couple of important people in my life.

Rollercoasters…!!!! I’ve always loved them and said that will never be me when I get old…”I’m gonna be right there riding with the kids when I get older” but now I’ve seen so much I no longer enjoy them

I said no way a couple years back and then went on one again and loved it. Bittersweet memories because my son loved rollercoasters – the steeper the better!

Not before many days. Now also I don’t think I’m really fat.

It is just possible that I am too old to successfully do anything much, but it doesn’t stop me trying…

Aw, you can’t be that old! I heard there was just a woman who turned 114!

The sad truth is that they do consider even my age as an unwanted risk, which is unfair as before the heart problem I was fitter than my kids!

Yeah, that was like me trying to see why the bottom of my foot hurt today! How does the leg bend like that again? 🤣

I don’t, with self confidence I feel like a young jubilant person. Just as what @Nope, Not Pam said. If you like it do it , don’t care about others opinions, but just be careful about the actions you make.

Well, maybe if I have a cute outfit on and some make-up. Otherwise I think I would look like a chubby Cupie doll!

If you like it, do it. Does it matter what others think?

For the most part I would almost always have said no but for whatever reason my confidence level is so low that I am over-conscious of everything I do and say. Its awful and I’m not doing it on purpose…

You need small wins, anything. I got yelled at driving home tonight, and I did do the wrong thing, so I’m really worried about driving tomorrow but my daughter said everyone survived so I need to let it go. You need to concentrate on what you want, cos ultimately you are the only one who matters

Run. Every time I’ve tried to get back into running in the last five years, I’ve messed up my foot. And my foot is already messed up now as it is.

I always wanted to love running. It is bad for the body though. Try the elliptical. I used to have one and actually used it. I would love to get another one but right now I know I am too achy and tired to use it. Once I get my arthritis under some control maybe.

I hated running as a kid. Bike rides became my preferred physical recreation after living in “Jeromeville” for seven years where bikes and cycling are huge. But in my late 20s, I went to visit a close Internet friend on the other side of the country (“Hannah” from the JTTL dramatis personae, I’ll probably tell that story in JTTL season 1 someday when I start writing that), and she and her sister dragged me to the gym, and I was surprised at how well I could keep up, just running short distances like 1/2 and 1/4 mile. When I got home, I started running more regularly, and longer distances; soon I could run over two miles without stopping, and within a few years I was running 5-6 miles a couple times a week, until my early 40s when my foot problems started.

We bought Ebikes but I’m still a bit wobbly. PTSD has me very insecure with the whole cycling thing.

I rode around the yard yesterday on my bike. The dog ran in front of me and I thought I would hit him so I almost took the digger but I saved myself!

Doing 3:1 with cycling and running might help. Then running isn’t as painful.
