If I spent all day, into this evening, thinking it was Tuesday does that mean I have to think tomorrow is Wednesday or settle with the fact that I missed a day this week and follow today by Thursday?

On the Schroedarian calendar there is an extra day built into weeks for just this problem! I’d say you gained a day when time folded over on itself!
