Word of the Day

The Word of the Day is Sketches, I hope this word inspires you to write a story or a poem.

Sketches are the images
of art inside the mind
they come in different colors
in shapes of many kinds.
We often never see it
the shape we mean to make
but stress is often released
in a messy sort of take
sometimes they are done neat
and beauty is sincere
but other times we doodle
when a pen with paper’s near.

When I saw this prompt on Bushboy’s blog I knew I had the perfect picture for today’s word.

On my walk I noticed a tinge of color I knew I had to capture.

The Meeting

Come on it
it’s just about time
time for that meeting
time for the sublime
thinking of the matters
that stay close at hand
trying to ignore it
not giving in to demand
ignoring all the effort
to pull your thoughts away
save the casual get together
for another day.

The Way I Feel

The way you look at me each day
sends shivers up my spine
I love your eyes and sexy voice
The way your hand holds mine

The joy you bring to me each day
makes my heart just skip a beat
You make me quiver in my shoes
and knock me off my feet.

Seeing you with me each day
makes me jubilant and fine
I’m glad that you have me to love
and that I have made you mine.

Recondite – #YDWordPrompt October 19, 2020

YDWP: https://onedailyprompt.wordpress.com/2020/10/19/your-daily-word-prompt-Recondite-ydwordprompt-October-19-2020/

(of a subject or knowledge) little known; abstruse.

Milly walked through the aisles. She couldn’t find anything that piqued her interest. The teacher had given explicit instructions to find a topic that was something that would have enough information to write a report on. So many of the teen issues she was considering had recondite information and she could probably only write a paragraph about each topic.
