I love the library

Sit me down hard, in the back with a book
I’ll be there for hours, go take a look
I can’t stop reading, books are bait on a hook
Reading’s like food, a fine pastime to cook

Hide me for hours, hide me in the stacks
plenty of reading, tons of books on the racks
Having provisions, I have my own snacks
Pillows and cushions, no sore butts or backs

Turn off the phone, there is no time to play
No time for chit-chat, send all friends away
Hours and hours, you’re still here for the day
This is my life, happily, my only way.
