I was going to generate a picture using AI of someone making a promise to someone else. Usually the pictures aren’t too bad but the kid in one of them had six fingers and I couldn’t stomach it! I promise I will try to catch those mistakes before I post them to my blog!
Promises, promises some big some small
Has there been a person that’s broken them all?
What if the doctor promises health
or what if the running coach promises stealth?
Just what will happen when people get sick
Or runners get hurt if they trip on a stick?
Shouldn’t there be a law made by now;
no promises should be made, no way, no how?

Very good, as unless we are positive we can keep a promise, then we should not make them. Might be better to say we will try to do such and such, but no guarantees. 🙂

Hehe! A fun poem but it brings up the problem with promises made. My mother said that promises are like piecrust – easily made and easily broken…

AI doesn’t understand anatomy. It doesn’t know that humans have five fingers. It’s just guessing based on patterns in data.

usually I don’t get creeped out but seeing a toddler with six fingers just rubbed me the wrong way!
