Renewal

Becoming

Beginnings halt as past ideals resurface

Transforming

Finality resonates but befalls desire

The renewing of my mind is a metamorphosis

Wilting and receding are replaced fervently

A reframing and resurrection of my truest form

Sparks seem to ignite a smoldering past

My truest self

Emotions flare categorically and drop into place

Emerging from the chrysalis 

Growth begins to thrive

Fragile wings finding strength

Ideas merge and set into motion new pathways

Spreading to reach heights and lengths

Colors deepen, heat intensifies, a yearning to explode

Never thought possible before. 

 Regenerated memories begin intensify renewal

Tapestry Poetry

• Description: Developed by poets Avril Meallem and Shernaz Wadia, this form involves two poets who write nine-line poems on a single, shared title without discussing it.
• Process: After composing independently, they weave their two poems into a single 18-line piece, editing it back and forth until they are both satisfied.
