The house wasn’t the same to her any more.

The house wasn’t the same to her any more. It was huge and empty feeling, not like it was when she was growing up. Back then there were always kids running through the halls, playing hide-and-seek, running inside and outside, tracking in dirt, and no one cared! It was fun. But now the floor is clean except for an untouched layer of dust from sitting empty. The windows have the shades pulled now, no way to see the sprinklers that used to be on all day. It was the quiet that was the worst. No more laughing and screaming “come find me” or “tag, you’re it”! A tear rolled down her face reaching her smile as she relished in the memories of her childhood.
