Filed Under game, hot, poetry prompt, until

This week let’s write a poem with the words game, hot and until in it. This is another of those prompts where I randomly choose three words from a list of the top 1000 words in the English language plus a few of my favorites. Post your poems in the comments below.
game hot until
Mom went to McDonalds
It was all fun and games until somebody cried
The first thought we had was that someone had died
The players were shouting and waiving their hands
You could tell who were foes and who were the fans
Jimmy was sweating, stunk bad and felt hot
Betty was sitting in a great shady spot
Maxwell sat quiet and started reading his book
Dad was there burning the food he ‘sposed to cook
Mom shuffled by with a full Micky D’s bag
She shouted at dad “Time to throw in the flag”
it was time he stopped trying to poison the kids
So he put down the spatula and put on the lid

Hehe! This brought back memories of charred brats and an alternative dinner! A great slice of life and with humor too!
