What comes to mind right off the cuff is stupid humor. I can’t stand watching the movies that have that stupid humor. As an example, Austin Powers movies. I just don’t find them funny and that bores me. There have been some shows that I have watched with David and the jokes may be geared more towards a grown man, things I don’t really get, that he thinks are super funny. I can’t think of an example but if its supposed to be funny and clearly is not, that is a pet peeve of mine which feels like sheer boredom.

I like a few scattered throughout your list. Its funny though because when I was in college I guess, I used to watch Jim Carey’s Ace Ventura movie over and over and thought it was hysterical. Well, probably about 6 months ago I saw it was on so I figured I would watch it and I found it so annoying, not funny at all! It made me wonder what made it so funny to me all those years ago.

My kids watched Ace Ventura over and over too and it drove me nuts just hearing it was enough for me 🤪

I’m with you Christine. I think my sense of humour hibernates………. a lot. I’ve watched Four Weddings and a Funeral twice, and didn’t laugh once.

I heard someone in my past once tell a kid who said “I’m bored”, “you’re boring”. I don’t mind silly escapist humor sometimes, but I find overly pretentious stuff boring sometimes. Especially when slow, plodding, and repetitions of old tired ideas are at play. These days a lot of science fiction bores me.

I don’t know if kids nowadays knows what boring is. I mean they have so much technology at their hands, how could they get bored?

I used to love Jim Carrey and now I don’t have the patience for it at all! Dumb and Dumber really is stupid! I mean the name says it all.

Someone suggested that movie – I watched 5 minutes and had to turn it off. Too dumb!

I just remembered the movie David thought was really funny…Blazing Saddles…I think that was it. I just couldn’t laugh.
