Echo Verse has one simple rule: Repeat the end syllable(s) of each line.
There are two ways to do this:
- Repeat the ending syllable(s) at the end of the same line;
- Repeat the ending syllable(s) on its own line directly beneath each line.

My Meditation
Sitting alone finding solace and peace. Piece
Of my soul feels quiet and at ease. Ease
Myself into a meditative state. State
Of the world leaves me outwardly stressed. Stressed
To limits not seen before. Before
Ending the session leave the stress behind. Behind
My eyes my world glows bright again.

Thank you! Got back late last night from a very long driving trip up to CT to see my daughter. 20 hours each way, but I stop halfway and sleep. Anyhow, I will get to this soon!

I connected with your poem at all levels. Meditation definitely helps shut out the outside noise, even if only for a little while. Great poem, Christine!

Thank you Yvette! I have to try and find a program to guide me through meditation. I have a hard time doing it on my own.

I like the Calm app. I also like the Tapping Solution app. It’s a little different from regular mediation, but I find it works well with the restless mind. 🙂

I’ve never heard of Tapping Solution, I will check it out. The one thing about the Calm app that I didn’t like was how it only let you get to a certain point before having to pay for it.

As I have told others I have a hard time with meditation if I am not being led through it. I guess they say practice makes perfect!

Christine, I feel the repetition and flow create a beautifully calming rhythm. The inward journey you describe seems gentle and restorative to me…

I love the simplicity. I am fighting with one of these right now, and I think simple should have been my first instruction to self!

I often have that internal battle! This time I just started with one line and worked off of it.
