I loved watching this video but I was disappointed that Freddie didn’t say much at the end. I know there were extenuating circumstances but it still surprised me. No matter…I love Queen!

I’ve been a fan since they started. Although it was a further 18 months before he died you could see in this that Freddie was very unwell, even though nothing had yet been made public.

Yes, a sad turn of events. My friends husband died of AIDS. They think he got it from a bad tattoo or from when he was younger he did drugs. It is a horrifying disease.

I was business manager for an NHS Trust that provided services for AIDS/HIV patients, and saw at first hand what it could do to people. That was the first time in my life that I’d ever been to a funeral that wasn’t a family member. It really brought it home to me.

Yes, it was so long before they knew what was happening to him since he was a straight male who was married and white, etc. It was horrid. I think I was the only other person besides his wife who was allowed to even go see him.

That’s terribly sad, and the worst part is that there were so many cases like that.
