Diana’s prompt guidelines
- Theme: The changing seasons;
- Form:Acrostic (the first letters of each line in each stanza spell out a given word);
- Four stanzas:
- One stanza for each of the four seasons – ‘autumn’, ‘winter’, ‘spring’, ‘summer’ (in any order);
- If you prefer to refer to any of the four seasons by other names, you may use those names in your poem instead.
- Four stanzas:
Seasons
Away with the sunny days
Under the fallen leaves
Tumbling down the hill
Unopened candy for trick-or-treating
Making pumpkin pie
Nature prepares for sleep
Waking up to freshly fallen snow
Ignoring the biting cold
Needing mittens
Taking a fall on the ice
Enjoying get-togethers
Ready for a new year
Storing winter boots for next year
Packing up sweaters and coats
Ripping open a new package of seeds
Imagining all the flowers in bloom
Nature comes alive
Gusts of wind feel good
Sleeping with the air conditioner on
Underwater play to keep cool
Making picnic plans
Mowing the lawn
Enjoying the hot sun
Remembering lazy days of childhood

This was the second poem I wrote, after pressing something only to see my other poem disappear! I thought WP was always on “autosave”. Oh well, I think this one is better anyhow.

hi, Christine❣️
Just wanna let you know that this week’s W3, hosted for the very first time by the lovely Sheila Bair, is now live:

I usually just put it on my google drive but not always. This has happened before so you think I would learn my lesson!
