I definitely remember 9/11 and I can recall the day we learned the Space Shuttle had exploded. I remember when Steve Irwin died. Wow, does historical have to be tragic?
I don’t think I have that many more memories but I believe that if I went through a list of “ideas” I would all of a sudden realize that I remembered more than I thought.

One of my earliest memories is of my mother crying because JFK had been assassinated! I can remember getting a color TV and the moon landing. More murders of political figures. And yes the Challenger explosion and watching 9/11 unfold on TV as we all stood around stunned.

Not all tragic: I remember the moon landing, the fall of the Berlin Wall, the hostages returning from Iran, the POW’s returning from Vietnam, the debut of The Beatles on the Ed Sullivan Show, the White Sox winning the World Series for the first time since 1917, the Braves winning the World Series in 1995 and 2021, Henry Aaron passing Babe Ruth in number of career home runs, and on and on…
