He watched helplessly as she closed the door behind her. She said she would never leave so why was she walking away now? He would never survive without her. He could immediately feel his life slipping away.
Her footsteps continued to fade as the blood pooled into his hands, dangling from the tightened cuffs. He had lost feeling in his hands and now the numbness was extending down his arms. If no one came by he would soon be dead. Maybe that was her intention.
