Daily writing prompt
How has a failure, or apparent failure, set you up for later success?
I think to find true success you need to work through some failures. There really isn’t a “perfect” so even those situations that aren’t failures are still there with room to grow.
I think that a failure I have had is not speaking my mind when I should have. This has led to some painful situations. Now when I am asked what I think or what I want I just say it and truthfully so as not to set myself up.

After graduation from culinary arts, trade school I did not get into chef‘s college and join the military where I stayed in for 23 years, then retired. I’m still a great cook too! I don’t think completing Chef’s School would have taken me down this road!

I know some people probably wouldn’t believe it when I say that I sort of wish I had known that the military was an option when I was young. Maybe not the Seals but I could’ve gone to be a pilot. I just remember that the military was for “boys”.
