An Honest Life

Living my life to be honest
Is not as hard as it seems
Keeping my mind clear and focused
Holding on tight to my dreams

Integrity plays a huge role
Living my life to be honest
An ancient gold plated shield
An heirloom well earned through a quest

Simplicity forms as the base
Traditions they rise to the top
Living my life to be honest
Never willing to let others drop

For those who don’t care to see it
For those who are not obsessed
I won’t plead or fall with some lie
Living my life to be honest
