While contemplating how to address this challenge I was reminded of a fun time my mother and I had a long time ago. This December marks 29 years since her passing.
My mother and I were up late one Christmas Eve, finishing the wrapping. My mother wrapped everything perfectly! At the time my little brother, who is 13 years younger than me was just a little guy. Well, we were laughing and wrapping and we ran out of wrapping paper. The only thing we could find was those little brown lunch bags. Oh, how we laughed, since my mother was such a perfectionist it was hard for her to accept gifts being wrapped in brown bags!

Merry Christmas Christine! One year I decided to wrap everything in newspaper! I even made bows from newspaper!! They were very pretty and I was able to save a wad of money!

That is a great idea. Once for a friends wedding I made paper roses out of an old book. They were very pretty and I was able to find an old book about a love story.

And now it’s considered stylish to give gifts wrapped in brown paper and a neat red bow.
I think I’ll stick with the traditional.
Thank you for joining in with our challenges this year. Happy Christmas, Christine. 🙂

Luckily we didn’t think we had to decorate them all!

What a lovely memory Christine. I’ve wrapped things in kitchen roll before now.
