For today’s prompt, write an even poem. The poem could be about even numbers, sure, but also about “getting even” with someone.
Stopping at two
When I was young and full of life
A brand new mom, a brand new wife
With two sweet babes, my greatest joys
but wanted more, both girls or boys
But hubby knew me all too well
and told me though my heartbeat fell
That if we had baby number three
I’d need an even group for we
And so we left it at just two
It was the safest thing to do.

Hehe! I always told my husband that an odd number was a no go! I was one of 3 and on buses, trains, and carnival rides (because I was the oldest) I had to sit with the stranger!
