Twenty Years Later
A must-read for anyone who remembers the days following 9/11 and is amazed how victims are still being identified twenty years later!
Twenty Years Later by Charlie Donlea is a fast-paced thriller about a television reporter who digs deeper into a mystery involving a victim of the horrific attacks in NYC on September 11th.
The story involves multiple story lines which the author neatly ties together in the end. You won’t want to put it down until you read it all.
Avery Mason used to be the daughter of a billionaire who finished law school with big dreams and a big secret that became public. Now she is the host of a popular television show, which is exciting and lucrative, but also the cover for her disgraced past. She is presented with a new story that could secure her career for the next five years; a story of the remains of a 9/11 victim being identified nearly 20 years after the attack. Avery heads back to the East Coast to investigate the discovery and try to find a way to turn it all into a compelling story for her television audience and producers who are expecting a great story. Avery doesn’t know that she is about to open a bigger story than she was aware of or that someone has a reason to have her in their sights.
I give this story five out of five stars for its compelling and fast-paced plot line. The characters are believable as is the storyline, including the twists and turns the author has strategically woven through the entire thriller. It is hard to put down once you start reading!
