Life would not be without memories

When I see my father, who no longer remembers me I know…

Life would not be without memories

When I remember my son and wish he was still here to celebrate another birthday I know…

Life would not be without memories

When I wish my daughter lived closer so we could see each other more I know…

Life would not be without memories

When I recall all the friends who have come and gone I know…

Life would not be without memories

When I think of my mother who I have not seen in nearly 30 years I know…

Life would not be without memories

When my tears flow for those I have lost I know…

Life would not be without memories

When I smile, thinking of what is yet to come I know…

Life would not be without memories

When I am filled with hope that our world can find peace I know…

Life would not be without memories

When I am thankful for all of the people who love me I know…

Life would not be without memories

When life is filled with uncertainties I know…

Life would not be without memories

Chant poems simply incorporate repetitive lines that form a sort of chant. Each line can repeat, or every other line.
