dVerse — Q185 Brush the Dust Off

Pen us a poem of precisely 44 words (not counting the title), including some form of the word brush.

Time to Write

When I sit down to write
I know I need not to rush
Like a man with his horse
With a bristly brush
I am just taking my time
To pen the right words
Instinctively working my mind
Like the wings on some birds

  1. Christine, I love those birds, I’ll remember to trust my instinct more. Here, spelling sometimes not to be trusted, but google pretty well lets me know, right they leave me alone, wrong and if so they offer some corrections.
Thanks for peeking in me and your wishes. About your dad, that is hard on the rest of the family, not necessarily so much for him. Already, Mrs. Jim makes up things; I think that things that come to her mind she thinks those have already occurred and talked about before. My dad also, at age 95. Brrr. I have trouble with names of people and places. I can see them in my mind but can’t place a name. My sister says she is that way, that “it runs in the family.’ Maybe so but I got worse after COVID in March, 2022.
