‘Anthem’ lyrics
The birds they sang At the break of day Start again I heard them say Don’t dwell on what has passed away Or what is yet to be Ah, the wars they will be fought again The holy dove, she will be caught again Bought and sold, and bought again The dove is never free Ring the bells that still can ring Forget your perfect offering There is a crack, a crack in everything That’s how the light gets in
Keep Moving On
Start again I heard them say
Don’t dwell on what has passed away
For you are young and still have life
You will again be someone’s wife
Live for the now and just move on
No matter who is here or gone
there’s someone else you need to show
that you continue to bloom and grow
and though the sadness still is there
you breath in deep for some fresh air
knowing that the day will bring
freshness like a new day’s spring
and tears will dry and chokes will stop
you’ll grow buds like an early crop
and bloom and shine like once before
you’ll live your life forever more.

Thank you. You know I often think about sadness but feel guilty because I have so much to live for. It is very confusing.

Hello, David. I posted to this prompt for the first time …. but put a ping back to this blog – Stine – when I think it should have been posted to your blog? Doesn’t matter. I just enjoyed writing my poem. 🙂

Hi, Lady Sighs ❤
Hooray ~ I'm so glad that you're joining us at W3.
The link to the most recent W3 prompt is here:
On that page, half way down, you'll see a graphic called 'Mister Linky' that looks like this:
Please note that you have to be looking directly at my blog (rather than looking at it in the WordPress Reader).
Click on that 'Mister Linky' graphic to share the link to your poem! (make sure you're linking directly to your poem, rather than to your blog's homepage)
And that's all ~ it's easy, I promise!
Much love,
David
