Sisters of Mercy

Sisters of Mercy by Caroline Overington was an enthralling mystery written from multiple perspectives including one of the sisters, Snow, who is currently in prison.

Snow had a hard life and didn’t even know she had a sister. Agnes was happily surprised to find that after having been left in an orphanage she really did have surviving family and a sister at that! When Agnes travels to meet up with Snow she disappears and Snow is the prime suspect in her disappearance. Snow didn’t want to have to share her inheritance with this newfound sibling so why not get rid of her? Snow insists she is innocent.

The story flips between Snow’s letters to an investigator and a look at past events of Snow, Agnes, and the other characters involved. The story is interesting and leaves many mysteries and surprises throughout.

I give this story 5 out of 5 stars for the intricate plot that never got boring and the characters who were very believable. This story leaves the reading wondering what will happen at the end and you will not want to put the book down until you find out! I will definitely be looking for more books by Caroline Overington.
