There are many vacations to choose from, each with something memorable. The one that comes to mind is more about the trip to the vacation spot that I remember best. We were on a plane, Delta Airlines, from Connecticut to Florida. My kids were babies so maybe 1 and 2 years old, they were 15 months apart. We were on the flight and my son was so tired and the pressure on his ears was probably awful. He was screaming and I was trying to calm him down. Now, both kids were in car seats on the plane, which was something someone recommended. So, I leaned in to sooth my son and he grabbed both sides of my head by my hair and would not let go! Of course I had to stay calm, no one wants to see mommy yelling at her already upset baby, but it hurt! Anyhow, we land and decide to wait to get off the plane until everyone is done. My husband, Bob, got off to go get the stroller. By the time I was ready to get off I had two kids, carryon bags, and two carseats. Well, the pilot and the copilot came out, each taking one child. The crew helped with the car seats and I think I probably just had the carry on bag. In the end we all got off the plane, safe and happy, and who knows what happened after that!??!!!!!!

That sounds like quite the experience. I always feel for the parents traveling with young children on airplanes, especially when they are crying.

It depends on the age of the child…The other day we went for breakfast and this child behind David was having an absolute meltdown. David was getting annoyed with the noise. He asked how old the kid was and I said probably one year and he suddenly wasn’t agitated anymore. It’s the older kids that annoy me….
