W3 Prompt #62: Wea’ve Written Weekly

Write a sonnet or any other 14-line poem about “The concept of time and how it affects our lives.”

Getting things done

Above me I hear the birds and the bees
Working so busy I’m just left alone
Wind blows the branches the leaves and the trees
Chilling my body right down to the bone

I think of the list of all there’s to do
Lucky that time seems to be on my side
Slowly I move until completions ensue
My thoughts going on a memory ride

The list never ends, the jobs are still there
My body telling me its time to stop
Closing my eyes I can suck in some air
Hopes that energy will not let me drop

But nothing gets done, the day is complete
How can I say that I conquered a feat?

  1. Wow! Rеading your poеm fееls likе listеning to a musical composition playеd bеautifully on a piano kеyboard. Each linе pеrfеctly capturеs thе rhythmic pulsе of lifе’s ups and downs. It makеs mе rеalizе how thе strеssеs of daily obligations can somеtimеs drown out thе harmony of innеr pеacе and balancе nееdеd to thrivе. Thank you for sharing thеsе еnchantingly composеd musings that invitе mе to hit pausе and rеflеct on staying truе to mysеlf amidst all thе noisе and chaos. 👌👍👏😊
