Pizzazz: FOWC with Fandango

Written for Fandango’s One word challenge:

New Girlfriend

Don’t bore me with your lectures

Don’t bother with advice

I know a sweet young lady

Who thinks I’m kindof nice.

She has a pretty figure

And stands out in a crowd

She has pizzazz and loves to joke

Laughing right out loud.

She’ll keep my whole attention

No matter what she does

I’m sorry that she’s taken place

Of what a real friend was.

Perfunctory: FOWC with Fandango

Written for:

Say Goodbye

It was just as we left and were saying good bye
with a perfunctory wave and a wink of her eye.
We knew right then we would never see her again
and that kind of outlook is the best kind there’s been.
She is snide like a child, rude like some sort of brat
Some call her a thief, what do you think about that?
The things that she does during her days and her nights
you’d be smart just to bid her farewell ‘fore she bites
The time that you spend with her is truly a waste
But it is good thing to learn as you got a small taste.

Simpatico: FOWC with Fandango

My true love

When I met my true love
It was love at first sight
He looked direct at me
On that dark, starry night.
We connected like fire
In a pile full of brush
Him, always so gentle
He never did rush.
I called him “Simpatico”

It was just how he felt
I finally found a card
I was happy was dealt.

Ambiance: FOWC with Fandango

Written for Fandango:

One Day

The ambiance around was clear

There were no vagrants to be found

Soft sweet music filled the air

Flowers and beauty all abound.

Until one day he did arrive

That man from up the street

He smelled like smoke and alcohol

Or is that dirty feet?

Assume: FOWC with Fandango

If you assume you make an ass out of u and me! (unknown creator)

Written for Fandango’s Daily Challenge:

No one owes me

So common in life people assume

That the world owes them more than they get

I like to think that the things that I have

Are because of my hard work and sweat.

Cranky – fowc with fandango

Thanks Fandango for hosting the challenge:

little Milly

When Milly comes up to the house

We hear her all the way.

She’s always whining to her mom

We wish she’d walk away.

Her cranky ways and teary eyes

No longer make us sigh.

We’d like to take her little butt

And kick her to the sky!
