WordPress Question of the Day

Who are your favorite people to be around?

In general, I would say David and Lindsay. I have to admit though that when I make the effort or have the opportunity to see friends I am usually very thankful I have them in my life and enjoy their company. It might be easier to ask who I DON’T like to be around! Lol. Many of you can probably guess who I might put on this list! 🤣

he stretched out into a full run.

The masked man barreled into the village, yelling to anyone he could see, telling them to run. The villagers raced to the highest cliff where they watched their homes and meager businesses being washed away.

One of the men turned to Alejandro and thanked him profusely, then asked,
“To whom do we owe our lives…

Writer Ravenclaw

This week’s prompt from https://christinebialczak.com/2023/02/21/simply-6-minutes-welcome-to-the-challenge-02-21-2023/ to write prose, poetry, or anything we like in six minutes.

Getting on in years, sitting in a chair, surrounded by old people, wasn’t his idea of fun. He was called a grumpy old man, not by the nurses, but his daughter, who visited him once a week. It wasn’t fair, why did they think he couldn’t look after himself was stupid. Yes, his memory wasn’t what it was, and he had almost started that fire, but it wasn’t his fault.

A tear rolled down his cheek, drying into his skin like a discarded dream.

‘You okay Dad, we were thinking of going down the pub for your birthday,’ his daughter said, holding his hand. ‘I know you miss the other guys.’

‘Yea, course. I’m sorry I haven’t visited more, we’ve been so busy with work. I promise that will change. I love you.’

Di adds a connection to the horse and rider

Christine of Stine Writing is our host and has chosen an optical illusion image for us this week.

This picture is an optical illusion. Is it someone riding a horse or a man? There are two other hidden pictures, can you see them?
(For the record, I can only make out another shadowy face)

He felt he was being watched, but each time he turned, there was nothing behind him.
