The Pastor and the Chief: Compilation 01/14/2023

Once upon a time
in an ordinarily boring way
a stodgy tribal chief
made a platter out of clay
He measured inch by inch
the details are a blur
He awakened the next afternoon
His speech a weak, low slur
The pastor in the town
came giving out good vibes
His beatitudes were sincere
He knew the chief imbibes
They sat quiet in a chair
to ponder the last day
and realized with a start
there was a new ceramic tray.
The tray was full of food
there was fruit and a lot of meat
They lunched and said with grace
That each bite’s a yummy treat.

Weekend Coffee Share #102

It is super cold this morning and my coffee is not helping much. I will take this as a hint to get off my butt and get active, that will help warm me up. This weekend will consist of laundry, miniature building, and straightening up the house. Not overly ambitious but as long as I am keeping busy!
