Your Friday prompt for Stream of Consciousness Saturday is “me.” Find a word that starts with “me” or use the word “me” as the theme of your post. Have fun!
Mess
Hurricane Ian left a mess here in Florida but I am so very thankful we were not hit full on. This short poem is dedicated to all of the people affected by Ian.
There’s a mess on the lawn and a mess on the car the damage is seen very near and real far For there is no big “broomer” to clean up this mess I’m dreading the work I must really confess But it has to be done and be done ’til its gone ‘Cause I really must see my green grassy lawn.
A word prompt to get your creativity flowing this weekend. How you use the prompt is up to you. Write a piece of flash fiction, a poem, a chapter for your novel…anything you like. Or take the challenge below – there are no prizes – it’s not a competition but rather a fun writing exercise. If you want to share what you come up with, please leave a link to it in the comments.
To superimpose that she had real big feet Lucy used towels and a comfortable sheet They were not that ugly, they were clean but she knew That if people saw something she’d see something too She didn’t want help nor some clean soft woolen socks She only wanted to be known for her long golden locks
You may have noticed a lack of participation on my blog for the last few days. On Sunday my satellite feed stopped due to a major power outage.
I have been checking comments as the scheduled posts have gone out via my tablet which is difficult as the signal isn’t that good out here in the bush.
My end of the month posts probably won’t be very prompt and will be in October at this stage as I will be away on the weekend as well.
I am only “hosting” this for Bushboy as their satellite is not consistent due to weather. I “offered” to do it. The quotes are because I sort of just said I was going to do it… Anyhow, here is their site: https://bushboy.blog/
How wonderful to have thirty-six people show us their last photos for July. There was one hundred and ninety-four views, with sixty-eight likes and many thanks to those thirty-six people who contributed their good and not so good photos.
Like a lot of people I forget and am surprised at what was the last photo on the four devices I use to take photos. I went from –
you wonder why
to an accidental image
getting ready for a post
to careful framing would be better
So let’s see what you have for August September 2022. There isn’t a time limit so you can post your last photos anytime. The last photo for the month will always be the last photo
The rules are simple: 1. Post the last photo on your SD card or last photo on your phone for the 31st August. 2. No editing – who cares if it is out of focus, not framed as you would like or the subject matter didn’t cooperate. 3. You don’t have to have any explanations, just the photo will do 4. Create a Pingback to this post or link bushboys world in the comments https://bushboy.blog/ 5. Tag “The Last Photo”
So here is mine: So excited to find this avocado while cleaning up debris from the storm!
This is the first avocado from the tree in our yard!
