Squid vs. Man: Compilation 06/13/2022

Once upon a time
while a man sat by his boat
his wife, she and her book,
read in a tent, inset in her coat

Little did they know
there’s a squid up by the boat
With slimy tentacles
That seemed like they could float

Squid didn’t want to filch
and end this silly game
he wouldn’t be the champion
He wanted all the fame

The man he sat and ate
a bowl of cereal on his dock
listening for the crackling
of rice crispies as they popped.

The man saw a big splash
and the squid swam away fast
knowing that the volume
of the water wouldn’t last.

The water people came
and emptied out the lake
they had to find the squid
He’s gross for heaven’s sake!
