Still One

When there were two
there were so many unknowns
what to do
where to go
how to deal with what life
threw at us.
When there were two
there was no pain
even when
life
was hard.
When there were two
there was no hole
no emptiness
no hurt
only love
Now there is one
there is heartache
there is pain
there are questions
But there is still one.

Crepuscular baby
sweet as can be
Mama the doe
Waiting to flee
Afraid of the hunter
standing nearby
Needing to run
As those bullets fly.

Pure Evil

The streets are vacant
the people are gone
the news is reporting
the wars still goes on
the people will suffer
Putin is pure evil
the world wants to stop
this man-made devil.
