Puff was there for fun
For children to believe in
Not to be scary
Magical dragon
Lives peacefully by the sea
Children can believe
Peaceful for children
Sailing away in daydreams
Living forever

Poetry based on Puff the Magic Dragon:
Puff, the magic dragon lived by the sea And frolicked in the autumn mist in a land called Honahlee Little Jackie paper loved that rascal puff And brought him strings and sealing wax and other fancy stuff oh Puff, the magic dragon lived by the sea And frolicked in the autumn mist in a land called Honahlee Puff, the magic dragon lived by the sea And frolicked in the autumn mist in a land called Honahlee Together they would travel on a boat with billowed sail Jackie kept a lookout perched on puff's gigantic tail Noble kings and princes would bow whene'er they came Pirate ships would lower their flag when puff roared out his name oh Puff, the magic dragon lived by the sea And frolicked in the autumn mist in a land called Honahlee Puff, the magic dragon lived by the sea And frolicked in the autumn mist in a land called Honahlee A dragon lives forever but not so little boys Painted wings and giant rings make way for other toys One grey night it happened, Jackie Paper came no more And puff that mighty dragon, he ceased his fearless roar His head was bent in sorrow, green scales fell like rain Puff no longer went to play along the cherry lane Without his life-long friend, puff could not be brave So Puff that mighty dragon sadly slipped into his cave oh Puff, the magic dragon lived by the sea And frolicked in the autumn mist in a land called Honahlee Puff, the magic dragon lived by the sea And frolicked in the autumn mist in a land called Honahlee

A photo challenge you can find here
The only reason this is sort of odd is because the way the docks line up there are so many squares!
Happy for treats
Photo Prompt
A picture speaks volumes.
Your baby blue eyes are awesome.
Are you real or are you wearing a costume?
It’s said to be wary of critters who are too silent.
Should I be scared of you; by nature, are you violent?
You don’t exactly look overly happy.
Did you forget to indulge in an afternoon nappie?
I kind of like those stripes you wear
Even though they remind me of garb of prisoners’ garb
Are you always this quiet and peaceful?
Or are you awaiting a photo session and treats piece-meal

Stripes, spots, or splotches?
Gypsie’s Wonderful World of Words
In response to Stine Writing’s Simply six Minutes Writer’s Challenge
By Ami (Gypsie) Offenbacher-Ferris
I think that I should like to be Stripes on stripes with white beneath Then I could run and jump so free Just like a Zebra would I be
I think that spots are also nice Spots all over might look like mice But I do not mean to generalize Spots are on the big felines
Splotches can be rather cool One up there and more’s the fool Or at least a very good fascicule Imagine all the kids at school
We’d run and play In the yard all day A striped boy could never stay Tied to a desk anyway
A pitbull vs a lion? Could get ugly
A pit bull with zebra’s stripes! Maybe the zebras are tired of losing members to the lions and decided to prepare a little surprise for the this year…
Makes you wonder, how would a fight between a lion and a pit bull work out? A lion is much bigger and has huge paws with sharp claws and a big mouth full of sharp teeth, so no doubt the lion would win, but considering he jaw strength of a pit bull, I’ll bet the lion would sustain plenty of injuries.
For some reason, the picture made me think of gum…
I remember this coming out and wanting to try it really badly. The problem with Fruit Stripe gum, as with all Beech-Nut gums, is that it tends to lose its flavor really quickly, so you start out chewing Fruit Stripe gum, and within about ten minutes you’d have this rubbery, flavorless…

Who can resist the eyes?
Christine at Stine Writing is our host for the Simply 6 Minutes photo challenge. I have to admit I feel a bit sorry for this little chap.

My name is Sinatra and I’m what they call a hybrid.
Not quite sure which is Mom, but a test tube was involved and someone basically screwed up.
The stripes don’t totally cover my body though. If you look close, you can see the buttons on the shoulder of my jerkin.
It’s the face though, isn’t it.
Bit dramatic, but I suppose it could grow on you.
I don’t bite and a good house guard. Don’t quite know what you’d call me, a zog or a dobra maybe.
But for now, the eyes have it, and Sinatra it is. That has some class don’t you think?

Jim gives us some food for thought about cross breeding!
After successfully crossbreeding a male zebra with a female horse and creating a zorse, zebrose, zebrula, or a zebrule, Doctor Chester Bunting decided he would try crossbreeding a female zebra with a male horse and he was successful in creating a hebra, horsebra, zebret, zebrinny, or zebra hinny, whatever you want to call it. Then he moved on to the zony, crossbreeding a zebra with a pony. His next logical step was working with a zebra and a donkey to create the zenkey, zonkey, zebrass, or as some folks like to call it a zedonk. Doctor Chester Bunting loved zebras, but he thought that maybe he could crossbreed them outside the equine family and he wondered what would happen if he tried to use a dog. Doctor Bunting figured that he could make the perfect designer dog breed, if he were able to find animals that shared enough genetic materials.
