Write about anything you’d like. Somewhere in your post, include the sentence, “I heard the car door slam, and immediately looked at the clock.”

I heard the door slam and immediately
looked at the clock as it looked back at me
the time was a-ticking
it was getting late
I really was hoping
I’d be on a date
with the most handsome man
that I ever did see
but by the look on the clock
it was all fantasy.
