right?!?!?! soaking in butter? My mom used to make these little appetizers. They were white bread, crusts cut off, rolled flat with a rolling pin…a layer of cream cheese was spread over the bread then they were rolled up. She dipped them in butter then rolled them in cinnamon sugar. Finally she baked them. Not sure of any details but they were good!
That’s different from the way we did it. We’d toast the bread, then butter it and sprinkle it with cinnamon combined with sugar. Sounds good either way!
I’m bad about it…I toast lightly, just enough to melt a ton of butter, then heavily coat the butter with cinnamon sugar, enough to almost crystalize! Lol, my mouth is watering.
