Aside from getting rid of the Gutenberg Block Editor, since it’s fairly clear that it isn’t going anywhere, what three changes would you like to see make? Please explain.

Okay, I’m going to tell the truth…I don’t understand any difference in the editor. Has it changed in the last year? I believe it has. I don’t know what has changed. I don’t really know what a Gutenberg Block Editor is unless it is someone who works as an editor in Sweden.

What would I like changed?

-I would like to be able to use more fonts and maybe even emojis in my posts without having to copy and paste them from somewhere else. Maybe there is a way to do it, but I have no idea. I would love to be able to use my Bitmoji but that’s another thing I don’t know how to do.
-I would like to know what all the words mean on the customizer. What is a CSS? Yes, I have looked it up but I still don’t get it, when it comes to my blog.
-I would like there to be a special “banner” that says Reblog when I reblog something so I don’t have to feel like I am stealing someone else’s post and without everyone giving ME credit for a really good post that I never wrote!

Sandman’s Q and A for November 3rd

Written for Sandman:

Have you ever bought something, I mean, you KNOW you’ve bought it, and not been able to find it afterward? So many times! I have bought things, put them aside in a nice shopping bag, until I had the right spot for it, and totally forgot I even bought anything! I have also ordered things online and then forgot that I ordered them. Only a few times have a re-ordered the same item….But, there have been plenty of times that I know I paid for it…I know I put it in the bag…I didn’t go anywhere else….Did I buy it or lose it?….or am I losing my mind.

Would you prefer more light in the morning or at night? Definitely in the morning. I am more productive in the morning so if I had more time that it was light out, I might get more done.

Have you started any of your Xmas shopping yet? I have only picked up a few things that would make the perfect gift…

Thanks to Sadje for hosting another What Do You See photo challenge

Being a Bear

If I were a grizzly
I’d have some huge, sharp claws

If I were a polar bear
Cold snow wouldn’t bother my paws

But I’m a little panda bear
with black eyes right from birth

My arms are black as are my legs
including around me in girth.

Tenterhooks: Ragtag Daily Prompt

a hook used to fasten cloth on a drying frame or tenter –

The phrase “on tenterhooks” means “waiting nervously for something to happen.” A tenterhook is literally a sharp hook that fastens cloth to a tenter, a frame on which cloth is stretched, like a tent, for even drying to prevent shrinkage.

The sound of silence is deafening
as the country waits
on tenterhooks
for the outcome of
today’s Presidential Election.

Sonnet: When The Time Is Right

Thank you to Stu for his contribution to Simply 6 Minutes!

Tale Spinning

There comes a time when people get tired of being pushed out of the glittering sunlight of life’s July and left standing amid the piercing chill of an alpine November. Martin Luther King, Jr.

Intimidation tactics are useless

Where the many are set upon as thieves

These are times punctuated through much stress

With hopes that all of our fears are relieved.

Hateful, scornful words meet extreme actions

Quiet shattered by jeers of discontent

The deep divide of opposing factions

It puts roadblocks in the way, we are rent

Yet, if the tide was to turn to the truth

The consequences in dire dispute

Thoughts and prayers may not be the needed sooth

To mend what has been sundered by refute

What impending years that we will pass through

Steps can be taken for…

November 3rd, 2020

I haven’t yet decided what I would like to write about every day for the next 27 days…I think it will be on gratitude…I started late which I am hoping is still legally binding…if not, then it is my attempt! Sometimes I don’t think I stop and think about all of the things I am grateful for amidst life’s challenges day to day.

On this day, 11/3/2020, I am so grateful for my daughter and my boyfriend.
Lindsay and David have been my rocks. Lindsay is an amazing young woman and yes, we’ve had our ups and downs, but we have come back to a place where I can honestly say my daughter is my best friend.
David came into my life almost exactly two years ago and although some people viewed it as premature, it has lasted and he is my other half.
Both David and Lindsay have been next to me for the hardest time in my life. There couldn’t have been anyone I could have asked for besides them. They keep me grounded and remind me how much I have to live for.
I’m not sure where I would be today without them. I suppose life works that way and if we were to turn back time so many things right now, even the really good things, may not be here.
So, today, along with every other day of my life, I am so grateful for Lindsay, my best friend, my twin, my daughter, my perfect daughter and for David, the kindest, most caring, thoughtful, loving, and perfect companion whom I love so very much.

The White House! America’s Most Unique “Rental Property” Is Up For Bids! The US Election Is Underway! Presidential Politics! Biggest President Scandals!

Reblog! Reblog!
I found this great article and thought I would share it.

The White House

This House Is Available To Rent!

Yes, the US election is today – and President Trump battles former Vice President Joe Biden to take up residence for the next four years in the most famous “rental property” in the world!

Boarding Up The White House!

It’s a sobering sight: the White House has had a wall built around it to keep people out – as the country braces for the most volatile and contentious presidential election in modern history…

Democracy Underway…

Washington D.C. is the center of our democracy, and every four years, US citizens have the freedom to go to the polls and decide who should lead the country.

These elections are held in all 50 states, and involve not only the Presidency but state races, congress, the senate, and propositions all across the country that impact how we live our lives going forward…they are important.

Sadly, the country…

  1. Set up a timer or sit near a clock so you can keep track of the six minutes you will be writing.
  2. You can either use one of the prompts (photo or written) or you can free-write.
  3. Get ready and write for 6 minutes, that is it! Can you write a complete story? Can you think of a new Sonnet? Can you write 400 words? 400? 500? There are no restrictions on what kind of writing you do, but you should try to be actively writing for six minutes.
  4. After you are done writing, include your word count and then post back to this page #Simply6Minutes or include your link in the comments section. Pingbacks are enabled.
  5. *Feel free to leave your work completely unedited. I believe it is good to see, especially for new writers, that even very seasoned writers don’t write a perfect first draft.*
