Color

When was the last time you looked in a mirror

To see what color your skin was

Or to see how many blemishes you could find?

When was the last time you looked in your wallet

To see if the color of the money somehow matched

The color of your skin, or at least complimented it?

When was the last time you closed your eyes

And saw only one color in your dreams?

How can you say that color makes people different?

Is a Box turtle better than a Pond turtle?

Is a Maltese dog better than a Scottie?

Is a German Shephard weird because it has more than one color?

Where on the color wheel does it say that one color has more value than another?

Wasn’t colored television an improvement to only black and white pictures?

Where does this come from?

Where does this make sense?

Who has a good reason that color makes a difference?

Tale Weaver – #294 – Epic Fail – 24th September

This week consider the notion of an epic fail.

It can be a very subjective view, like a dinner that went wrong, a holiday that went pear shaped, anything that started off with the best of intentions and through various means failed to meet expectations.

Making Copies: Epic Fail…Back to work

Jillian grabbed her coat and gloves as she was heading out the front door. She had already put her briefcase and lunch in the car, got the car warmed up, and figured she was ready to go. Her article was going to hit the streets this week and she felt certain that this would be the breakthrough of her career. That was until her phone rang….

Hello?

Jillian?

Yes?

This is Officer Bently from the Castlebury Police Department. Do you have any idea why I am calling?

No, none at all. Is everything okay?

Well, I hate to be the one who has to tell you this but your workplace, Staggler and Staggler, is gone.

What do you mean my job is gone?

Early this morning, about 2 am, the building exploded into a ball of flames. There is nothing left of the building. Luckily, no one was there at the time. Do you have any idea who would want to destroy this successful business?

I don’t know what to say. I mean, who would want to do this sort of thing? Oh my God, what if I had left to go to work on time today? That could’ve been me.

Well we think a fire may have started in the copy center.

The copy center? Why the copy center?

There was ink on all the debris.

Oh, wow. I haven’t used the copy center in quite a while… (Crap, I set the machine to make 1000 copies of my article. It must have been too much and got the machine over heated. Now what will I do? That was my only copy! Back to being just the secretary)

Thank you for your help and Jillian, if you  can think of any reason for the copy center to have started this fire could you please contact my precinct immediately.

Sure, no problem.

Sedition: Your Daily Word Prompt

YDWP: https://onedailyprompt.wordpress.com/2020/09/24/your-daily-word-prompt-sedition-ydwordprompt-September-24-2020/

Sedition: conduct or speech inciting people to rebel against the authority of a state or monarch.

USA Condition

In our condition

The idea of sedition

Leaves us in a position

To think that revolution

Is a solution

To fight this disintegration

Of the civilization

Of an American institution

Based on the frustration

And realization

That our population

Is about to malfunction!

Unpresidented: FOWC with Fandango

For all of the international followers, I wonder what the world is thinking.

Donald Trump needs to be Un-Presidented and soon!!!!

Does the world know that most Americans do not agree with Trump?

Does the world know that much of America has risen above racial injustice more than is depicted in our news?

Does the world know that Americans are in a state of frustration and fear now that we may fall under a dictatorship? Is that what it is?

Does the world know and remember that we are a melting pot, a place for all people to live freely?

These words….

…. are not for America!

Three Things Challenge

Written for Di at pensitivity101: https://pensitivity101.wordpress.com/2020/09/24/three-things-challenge-368/

Your three things today are:

MONEY
PRESSURE
TICKET

Ticket

Back at the ranch

Under the stars

The pressure was on

To head straight to the bars

No money to spare

So, we knew to drink light

A ticket to paradise

Not far from sight.
