Into the dark
He lies waiting
To see where his prey will lead
Into the dark
He walks steadily
To follow his prey
Into the dark
He focuses intently
To put his prey in sight
Into the dark
He sends the shell
To kill the prey, he has been
Waiting for,
Walking towards,
Focusing on,
Coming in for the kill.

Along the path of curly cues
Behind the shed of dreams
Beyond the field of white daisies
Within the sun’s bright beams
A secret is awaiting us
To find it’s truest source
But only if you can believe
It’s in your head, of course.

How many drafts do you have in your ” Drafts Folder” right now?
Do you always complete a post that you draft?
Is it a good idea to leave your unfinished drafts hanging around or should you delete them after some time, if so, how long?
For Dr. Tanya’s Blogging Insights: https://saltedcaramel670.wordpress.com/2020/08/31/blogging-insights-44-drafts/
Right now I have 2 drafts in my Drafts folder. 1 is a link to a list of writing prompts and 1 is a poem that I wrote, free verse, but I submitted to a magazine and they didn’t want one that had been published on any sites so it is sitting there….If they don’t want it maybe my WP community will appreciate it!
I almost always complete a post that is drafted or I delete it.
I think the only thing about leaving drafts unfinished is that when you go back to it your mind is in a totally different place so sometimes the writing seems “artificial” or something.

Roger’s Magical, Mystical Questions:
Muggle Questions (from Melanie):
What is the last song you sang along to? When I sing in the car I don’t really know what I am singing once it is turned off, I just sing everything. The last song I purposely sang was “My Church” by Maren Morris.
What was your scariest nightmare about? I have a lot of nightmares, usually about spiders that I can’t get rid of or that keep “showing up”. I’ve had those where someone is super creepy and trying to get me. When I am super stressed out I have nightmares about waitressing and all of the problems I have when working, making me wake up exhausted, “from working all night!”.
What food do you crave most often? Chocolate Ice Cream, Rice Crispy Treats, and many other things… (Buffalo Wings, Cheeseburgers with American Cheese, Mustard and Ketchup, and Mexican Food)
What’s your grossest bug story? When I was a kid we had a Gypsy Moth Caterpillar outbreak. We rode our bikes and watched them squish out greenish yellow guts. You could also hear them being squished. It was so gross but they covered every surface!
GRATITUDE SECTION
I am grateful for David who is so supportive and encouraging. He hasn’t “blunk” an eye since I have been gone for three weeks with my father and step-mother. That is a big relief to not have a stressor like that!
For my final theme in this series, I’m going to ask you tell us what “your plans for September are.”

My plans for September:
Great Commercial!
Participate here: https://wordofthedaychallenge.wordpress.com/2020/08/30/euphoric/
I was euphoric when I met you
Not very happy you had to leave
Truly delighted when you called me
I wore my whole heart upon my sleeve
Now we’re here years later
As happy as can be
Our love is wholly pure
As anyone can see.
