They called it the vast beyond, some called it Hinterland. No one had ever ventured beyond the rock jetty. There were tales that said you would fall right off the edge of the earth if you sailed that far. Other stories were told about monsters, cyclones, and boats disappearing in a fog, none of which could be proven since they all ended in death.
